Lead a high-performing organisation transforming how libraries serve their communities across Europe.
As Senior Manager for Product Development in Systematic A/S, you will lead the organisation responsible for building Cicero, a modern SaaS platform that sets the standard for library digitalization in Northwest Europe.
In this role, you will ensure the successful execution of product development across the full lifecycle, from development to release and long-term maintenance. Leading a distributed organisation of highly skilled professionals, you will focus on creating predictable delivery, best-in-class quality, and an environment where teams thrive, collaborate, and continuously improve.
The main responsibilities and tasks are:
Lead and develop the Cicero Product Development organisation through leaders across distributed agile teams
Ensure predictable, transparent, and high-quality product delivery through structured planning and governance
Drive end-to-end product development across specification, development, release, and maintenance
Steer Accelerated Roadmap, Product Backlog and Maintenance Backlog prioritisation, ensuring clarity, flow, and strategic alignment
Establish strong KPI-driven governance to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with Systematic’s process frameworks
Identify and mitigate risks, technical debt, and cross-team dependencies early
Strengthening collaboration and stakeholder alignment across the Library organisation
You will join Library at a decisive stage — where a proven platform meets an ambitious European expansion strategy , and where libraries have never mattered more as guardians of truth, knowledge and democratic values.
You bring solid leadership experience from software development or product engineering environments and have a strong understanding of agile product organisations.
You have experience leading highly skilled technical teams including leading through managers in a high-performance environment. You are comfortable operating in KPI-driven environments and translating strategic priorities into structured and predictable execution.
Familiarity with CMMI, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and process governance is an advantage but not a requirement.
Educationally you hold a relevant academic degree at a minimum of bachelor’s level within Engineering, IT Management, or Software Development. Additional leadership education is considered an advantage.
As a person you are structured, analytical, and quality-focused, with a strong ability to create clarity in complex development environments.
You communicate in a calm and clear manner and ensure alignment before execution. At the same time, you are decisive when necessary and capable of creating momentum through clear direction and strong collaboration.
Your leadership style is supportive and engaging, and you take pride in creating an environment where teams are motivated, empowered, and continuously improving.
